No matter how terrible the season you are in, choose to praise the Lord. The Bible repeatedly admonishes us to continually praise the Lord and offer sacrifices of praise. Praising God continually means deliberately choosing to praise Him in every season of life. It is easy to praise God during good seasons, but when you choose to praise Him in difficult seasons, contrary to your feelings and in the midst of pain, it becomes a sacrifice of praise. Everything within you may cry out to murmur, complain, and wail in sorrow, but when you choose instead to praise Him, it pleases God and rises before Him as a sweet fragrance.
